Here you can order the books, which were digitised by Dr. Kurt Stüber (Max Planck Institute - Cologne). This is a collection of historical books from all over the world of natural science, especially biology. Many of these books are out of print and it is difficult to get them in libraries or second-hand bookshops.
Literature on CD/DVD-ROM has several advantages, such as:
- The books are accessible without internet connection
- There are no download times while reading from CD/DVD
- Every page is saved with an explicit name
- Navigate between all pages in a clear folderstructure
- Front-, index-, and register pages are sorted separately
- We are constantly working on improving our products
Most of the pages are scanned in JPEG-format in two resolutions (100dpi/300dpi). You can use the small format for reading, the large format for printing in excellent quality. Some high-resolution pages are subsequently edited by us, i.e. the quality is at least the same as the Max-Planck-Institutes version.
